HAPPY STAY-AT-HOMES (FOR NOW)

Hi All !!

Can't believe we've been home now for almost seven weeks, and loving it !! Mind you, as I type, Annie is lying here beside me with a heap of travel info, planning another (one or two) holiday(s) !!

Everything at home is pretty much organized and caught up, and the beachhouse is getting there. The dolphins have been in to visit us several times, most recently three of them right up close to the jetty on Monday. We've had lovely time to catch up with friends, kids and grandkids. It's also been the month of the 'ologists'; we've been poked, prodded and pronounced fit. A bit of routine maintenance work needed, but 'Hey' !? Even the car needs a bit of work now and again, and it's only 11 years old, a veritable infant, compared to us.

We've had some time playing local tourists, showing the grandkids some of the sights we always show overseas visitors. Spent a day in the Serpentine Dam area, feeding the wild Twenty-eights, and trying not to feed a very sociable kangaroo and joey, or at least to limit its junk food intake. Took three of the grands down to Collie for a couple of days. The Ferguson Valley is absolutely beautiful in spring, all verdant green and rolling!! Gnomesville was an absolute treat; well over a thousand gnomes in a community near Collie. Warning; a punsters heaven! Collie has a surprising amount to offer visitors/kids; from a trip down a coal-mine, a suspension bridge, a fun and partly interactive museum, and (a month ago) an overflowing dam!

We've been able to play grandparents, going to sports days, piano recitals and swimming lessons. We've had lovely lunches, dinners and visits with various friends and look forward to much more. Kris (my younger daughter) arrived from Brisbane for a few weeks. We enjoyed one of her performances in Fremantle, and she and a friend came down here on their way south.
And last, but not least,- we are now Bless-ed, or at least our boat is. Went to the Yunderup Blessing of the Fleet, followed by a great roast dinner with Kris and friends, as well as our very good neighbours, Wanda and John.

Almost forgot to mention;- Kris found me a guitar and helped me get organized to hopefully start learning. Wish me luck !?

That's about it for tonight.
