HOME! -BRIEFLY!

Hi All !!

Got home (being Yunderup, just in case of confusion as to where 'home' is) early Oct. and only just now starting to feel half-way caught up/organized. Good thing, because on Sat. we head out to Borneo for two weeks, with grandson Chris, friend Judy and her nephew, Ben, and sister, Maureen, meeting us from Canada!

The paperwork backlog was daunting, but every year it's slightly reduced. Yeay retirement! And thanks to Dot for holding the fort in our absence.

Good to catch up with all and sundry. Grandkids, birds, gardens, and some friends. Others of you we look forward to catching up with you on our next return!
Have also been around for good stuff like sports day and Katie's birthday, which has been great!
Along the way, at Eileen's 70th birthday, Anne came perilously close to adopting a baby!- kangaroo that is! Eileen had an orphaned joey in a sack and Anne was quite smitten!

Did a Hallowe'en here this year; first time in years we've lived close enough to kids to do it. had a couple of lots of neighbourhood kids as well as our own. Good fun!

Kris stopped in W.A. for a visit on her way home from an environmental/performance tour in the U.S. Called in a couple of times with friends, spent a night here with Hans and his Swiss cousin and friend. She had also visited us in Canada so it's been a good year for catching up with her.

That's about all the news, possums. Hopefully I'll have more exciting stuff on our return from Borneo (but not too exciting, Anita!)

Take care and love to all

Anne and Kathie
