Here it is mid-April; the rains have started and Canada's temperatures are starting to balance ours occasionally. The Great Migration time approaches! We're booked to leave May 26th, through Dubai to Toronto, with a one night rest-stop in transit. We had originally thought to do some more 'wandering' in transit, but wimped out,- again!- second time this year!! What does that say?- I hear you ask !!
It's been a fun summer/fall, with lots of ideal sitting out days! The beautiful weather held u
p (with the exception of the big storm, which we avoided) until Maureen and Margaret had gone home. Then a few days foretaste of things to come just to give us fair warning, and now it's glorious again!! 
The M. and M.'s arrived the second week of March and were duly toured and taken to see the local sights, the kangaroos and the 28s,- as you do! Our thanks to Judy for coming out to play with them and lending them lots of 'toys'-kayaks and bikes!
We all went off then to Bali, spending a week in Sanur and 3 days up in Ubud; we were joined in Ubud by Margaret's other half, Robert, as well, so it was a very congenial group. Neither of the M.'s had been to Bali, so we got a buzz out of showing them around, as well as revisiting/reacquainting, as we hadn't been there for over 5 years! That's poor, isn't it!
Predictably, we all thoroughly enjoyed the pampering (even the fish-tank) and the shopping, as well as the touring and more than a few adventures, including snorkelling and parasailing, and (for the M's) white water rafting, cycling, and hiking. They cycled in Bali traffic, got thrown from a white-water raft, saw and were almost part of a bike mishap, and still managed to return to Aus. relatively intact! Well-done!!
We marked Anne, Jett and Judy's birthdays here, then mine in Bali!! I win! And the good news is that she IS still feeding me, now that I'm 64!
During the school holidays, we've enjoyed having some of the 'grands' overnight and for day visits, relearning monopoly amongst other things. Did you all know that having/counting actual money is now 'passee'? It's all done with credit cards, electronically now!Must close now, as it's wonderfully blue and still outside,-perfect boating weather,-so we want to take advantage while it lasts!
